Gagan Narang, Sports Promotion Foundation, set up in 2011 by Olympic 2012 Medal Winner Gagan Narang and Pawan Singh, ISSF Judges Committee Member, to give back to the system. 16 academies under the name GUN FOR GLORY Shooting Academy are spread across the length and breadth of the county. In 9 years, the academy’s shooters have won 205 international medals.

Founded in 2011 under the able stewardship of Khel Ratna & Padma Shri awardee Gagan Narang and Joint Secretary General of NRAI & ISSF Judge Mr. Pawan Singh, the Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation is devoted to the promotion and development of the Olympic sports in India.

GNSPF is devoted to the promotion and development of the Olympic sports and works with a mission of creating a vibrant and thriving shooting community in India and to make shooting, India’s most accessible mainstream sport.
Since the last 9 years, GNSPF has made a measurable impact on the Indian sports fraternity by providing training and support for 5 Olympians, 205 international medallists, 1100 national shooters and 12 shooters that are currently part of the national squad. Moreover, GNSPF has identified 40,000 talented children at the grass-root level and trains over 1500 students annually.

Awards

In 2010, Mr. Narang was conferred the esteemed Padma Shri award and also the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award. Moreover, he was also awarded the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar for his contribution towards the sport through GNSPF in 2019.

At the peak of his career in 2011, Mr. Narang decided to take a little detour from being a player to being a mentor and founded GNSPF with the money he received for his success at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Nine years later, what started as an ambitious project to support, nurture and provide basic training facilities to the young talent of India at the grassroot levels, has now become a vehicle of growth for shooting sports in India.
